Devils aligned.

Another year of us and them

the will to live set you back again

swim bladders that swore on shore

that angels saw the apple decline

the sharp end of a roll boil blade

that they would turn tables over again

rather than lose another cause

better to take flight and pour away the clouded end

the big reveal that never came as the Devils aligned

The tabled tale to solve that thirst again

with a night Beneath the stars

playing basement games on the heart felt

pleas of a leafy hill from which a spring

shoot grows during hours lost at rest.

Roosting in Everglades there’s a sliver of

The hopeful Ghost buried to the hooded

Lining.
