Strawberry toothpaste.

Forgot the days that sailed past

Since I left and went around the world

But can’t forget strawberry coloured toothpaste

And scars from a toothache.
Seeing marches across the red square

learning about Russian poetry

Whilst halos steel rings my head

stars are left off trees and

Unlight buildings line the street.
Years of returned  letters stack by a door

before a Wood pigeon flew

and came bringing messages Back to you

asking did the pain stop

With your teeth now all pulled

By a man born in circular  year

of a Chinese pig.
Watches hats and tokens to the metro

And bean paste Blinis

letters returning to brass on the doors.
Seeing marches across the red square

Learning about Russian poetry

Whilst halos ringed my head

And stars are left off trees

And buildings in the street.
